From guest writer ?Swamp Thing:?
A confession: We always harbored a small suspicion about some of the stuff the Gator came up with. But after a couple days of wading in the Web, it?s clear you simply can?t make this stuff up.
Monday?s lowlights included a wedding party brawl video and a Texas mom who allegedly assaulted a 10-year-old girl who refused to share her ice cream with the woman?s 4-year-old daughter.
And then there?s this news release from the organizers of the Immersed in Ink Tattoo & Arts Festival at the Beaumont Civic Center, Oct. 19-21:
This Alternative Arts Festival will host close to 100 of the nations? hottest Tattoo Artists and is open to the public for live tattooing, sideshows, human suspension, and more. Patrons can enter their tattoos in over 20 contest categories or just come watch artists express themselves in this alternative art medium. In addition to tattoo artists from all over the world, the show will feature many different vendors selling merchandise from clothing to tattoo supplies and beautiful hand crafted art. Entertainment includes a comedy/magic stunt shows, Live Human Suspension, Burlesque/Belly dancing, and so much more. There will also be a bounce house for the kids to stay entertained while their parents are getting tattooed!
Live human suspension, burlesque dancing and a bounce house for the kiddos. Yowza! That pretty much covers the waterfront. All that?s needed to complete the synergy is a Barney the Dinosaur tattoo booth.
